An infection left Randall Miller unable to take care of himself.
Thanks to rehabilitation at Life Care Center of Morristown, Tennessee, he is back to his prior level of function.
When Miller arrived at the facility on July 4, 2018, he needed moderate assistance with bathing and dressing and some assistance with standing balance and grooming. He also required supervision for transferring from one surface to another.
Physical therapists worked with him to improve his balance and gait so he could return to community activities, and occupational therapists worked to retrain him on his activities of daily living, with a focus on cognitive remediation therapy, standing tolerance/balance and activity tolerance.
“I have been treated better here than anywhere else,” said Miller. “I have received genuine care from each individual.”
Miller returned home independently on July 20.
